Kdo / Who
Karel Pavlinc in žena Marta že 10 let živita in ustvarjata pod vasjo Padna v zaledju Slovenskega primorja.
Karel Pavlinc and his wife Marta have been living and creating at the bottom of Padna village for 10 years now. The idyllic environment of their home is laced with connections to nature, and a refined artistic focus. Their creation process extends mostly in two directions, namely, they produce usable decorative items meant for sale, and they engage in their artistic work, which is mainly intended for exhibitions, symposiums and competitions they enter with their works.
Karel sees a connection between his artistic work and the place of his dwelling especially in the Božidar Jakac Gallery, which he would complete and revive by adding artistic products of ceramists, who would be able to present their works in the gallery in affiliation with the idea of a dispersed hotel. He realizes the importance of the collaboration of the local community and is also aware that the ideas receive appropriate financial support. One of his ideas is also to launch a local store in Padna, which would enable the villagers to sell their own produce there, which Karel considers a good promotion as a part of the idea of a dispersed hotel.
Him and his wife Marta already have a little store with their own products in the nearby city of Piran, that’s why he’s convinced a store with local produce is a great idea for Padna as well. Despite all his many ideas Karel’s plans for the future include striving for a peaceful live, and a continued prolific creative process with Marta.
