By Plane
The nearest airport is Trieste. It is located 60 km from Koper, in neighbouring Italy. You can get to Koper by bus (timetable) which takes you approximately 1 hour, or by renting a car. The bus ticket costs around 40 eur/one direction.

Gettting around in Koper

On foot
Although Koper is the fifth biggest city in Slovenia, it is relatively small – it has a bit more than 25 000 inhabitants and you can easily go around without using public transportation.

By bus
If you like to travel by city buses, you can use City transport. The price of the ticket is 0.8 eur if you buy in advance and 1,5 eur if you buy on the bus.

By Taxi
Approximate price 5 – 10 EUR within the city.

Study visits will be an all-day activity. We will be travelling by bus, so you will not be needing your car, make sure it is parked appropriately.

8:45 – 9:15: Gallery of Božidar Jakac, pottery exhibition of the local artist

9:15 – 9:30: Visit of renovated St. Blasius Church
